Our History
The Gardens
Our grounds have been nurtured for decades and include an exquisite, formal Rose Garden enclosed by a custom wooden fence, an extensive Stroll Garden, gorgeous stone walls, woodland gardens, fruit trees, and access to mountain trails and wooded walks. We are a two minute drive from Goffstown Village and a 25 minute drive from the Manchester airport.
Named after the mountain upon which The Gardens rest, you will be welcomed into a fantastic history! Goffstown and the Uncanoonucs were once home to several grand hotels. Vacationers would come up from Massachusetts to enjoy the quieter pace of life while they skied, hiked, dined, and danced. Then, for nearly forty years, Uncanoonuc Mt. Perennials proved to be a destination for garden enthusiasts everywhere.
Now, in the next chapter, The Gardens provides a new way to appreciate both the beloved gardens created by Uncanoonuc Mt. Perennials and the natural splendor of the mountainside.

Our original garden venue offers a breathtaking setting for weddings, corporate outings, celebrations of life, wedding and baby showers, special anniversaries and more – all surrounded by towering trees and lush landscaping.
Wedding couples can choose from several stunning ceremony locations throughout the property, each offering its own beautiful backdrop for exchanging vows. After the ceremony, receptions are held beneath a beautiful sailcloth tent where guests gather for an evening of dining, dancing and celebration.

Land acknowledgement…
We would like to acknowledge we are on the land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange among Indigenous peoples for thousands of years. The Western Abenaki People have maintained their physical and spiritual connection to N’dakinna (homeland), aki (land), nebi (water), olakwika (flora), and awaasak (fauna). The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain honors, recognizes and respects these peoples, especially the Abenaki, as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we gather today. In that spirit, today we will begin by acknowledging that we are guests on this land. We need to respect and help protect the lands within our use.
