The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain
Started in 1979 by newlyweds Nettie and Mark Rynearson who had Cornell degrees in horticulture and landscape architecture in hand and a passion for plants and garden design in their hearts. The Gardens have a gravitas that only comes with decades of care; these gardens were loved into being, and it shows. The gorgeous 15 acre property is surrounded by protected forests making it feel secluded and special.

Woodland Garden Bluestone Dais
With the quiet hush of a sanctuary, the Woodland Garden has always had a timeless beauty. Our new, handcrafted bluestone dais, gently curving over 55 feet, elevates the entire space. Set flush with the forest floor and framed by custom rockwork and plantings, the dais creates a natural focal point for ceremonies. Simple. Refined. And quietly extraordinary.

The Great Pine
You will fall in love with this nearly 100 year old majestic beauty. She provides a symbolic anchor for the most stunning wedding ceremonies. We laid a custom made, curving granite dais at her feet which adds a refined and elegant touch.
Nettie’s Garden
With Secret Garden vibes, Nettie’s Garden is truly magical. Curving, grass pathways wind through beds overflowing with color. Vines cloak the enclosing fencing and scattered wooden uprights. Teak benches beckon you to linger and enjoy the fragrance, the flowers, the embrace of the special place that it is. A favorite spot for photos.
Stroll Garden
Take a walk through this lush and charming path of garden beauty. Our whimsical weeping cherry and magnolia trees are surrounded by vivid flowers and greenery. This hidden garden is a lovely backdrop for a first look or bridal party photos.
Sailcloth Reception Tent
For larger receptions of up to 200 guests, we offer high-quality event tents, lighting, and rentals.
The Pavilion
Custom designed by Mark Rynearson (aka The Wizard) and hand-built by local artisan craftsmen, the Pavilion offers a stunning, one-of-a-kind location for ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinner parties and more.
Bridal Arbor
The magnificent Bridal Arbor is perfectly framed by our “Limelight” Hydrangea hedge. It was a collaborative design between Mark and Stone County Ironworks, the forge that created the ironwork. From the New Hampshire granite base to the gold finials on the archway crosspieces, our arbor manages to be substantial without feeling heavy. It could make an elegant entryway for you and your bridal party or an exquisite backdrop for your ceremony.
Fire Pit
Spacious, with room for a crowd, but embraced by the surrounding hillside gardens for an intimate feel, our Fire Pit is a marvelous spot to cap your celebration. S’mores anyone?
Custom Luxury Restrooms
We offer spotless, luxury restrooms with warm wood interiors, AC, heat, music and elegant lighting. An ADA accessible restroom with a stainless baby changing station are parts of the facilities. We want you and your guests to feel cared for every step of the way.
