Where are you from?
We are both local to the area. I grew up in Amherst, NH and Aaron grew up in Milford, NH. (Growing up 1 mile from each other and never knew one another.)
How did you meet?
We met in college. We were both studying computer science at the University of New Hampshire and were in some of the same classes throughout the years, but we didn’t get to know each other until the end of senior year.
How long have you been together?
Just over five years.
Tell us your engagement story!
Aaron and I went to Hawaii in September 2021 and he planned a surprise proposal at a beautiful beach in Maui alongside lava cliffs at sunset.
What is one of your favorite things to do as a couple?
Our favorite things to do as a couple are to explore new places, visit local breweries, and stay active with activities like walking, hiking, or biking.
What made you fall in love with The Gardens and choose it for your wedding day?
We toured quite a few venues prior to looking at The Gardens and none of them made us as excited as The Gardens did. We toured on probably one of the worst days of the year — 50 degrees and pouring down rain. It was very late October and even then we fell in love with The Gardens. We could see the potential and how stunning it was on a gloomy day and we couldn’t wait to see how beautiful it would be on a wedding day in the summer.
What was your favorite place to take photos around The Gardens?
It’s so hard to pick one! My favorite place to take photos at The Gardens has to be the Rose Garden. The pictures turned out absolutely stunning with all the colors of the roses. But I also have a few favorites from our photos in the woods with the lighting and in the Stroll Garden for our first look.
What was the best part of your wedding day?
The best part of our wedding day was the focus and happiness that Aaron and I had on each other. We knew everything was being handled for us and we didn’t have to worry. Everyone we loved was celebrating the day with us, the venue was perfect, the weather was perfect, and all of our vendors did an amazing job. I cannot count the number of people that were raving about the venue, the tent, the turf, the bar area, especially the food (catered by Celebrations) and even the bathrooms. Lol!
